In januari 2020 was ik nog zeer tespreken over deze "connected" voerbak. Handig om katten met eetproblemen te monitoren en om (netals bij de niet-connected voerbak) andere katten eruit te houden. Helaas ben ik er tegenwoordig niet meer over te spreken. Na iets meer dan 2 jaar ging de eerste voerbak al stuk. Motor loopt zwaarder, tot het punt dat je alleen nog wat 'gekreun' hoort maar het mechanisme de klep niet meer opent of sluit. Geen garantie meer. Nu in 2025 vertoont een tweede hetzelfde.

We have the old model working reliably since >6 years. When we needed a second one I decided unfortunately to by the expensive new model with the hub. I could pair the feeder and the hub once but at some point the connection was lost and cannot be paired again, despite trying everything in the manual. The online troubleshooting tool is too curious about private data before even talking to you, so this is not an option. It works as a normal feeding machine but the hub is a loss.

If your cat has a slightly longer neck than the average cat the chip will not be recognised, not even with the extended settings. Another problem we encountered was that one feeder is constantly disconnecting from the hub and we need to find out that one cat could not eat for an entire day! They say the surefeeder works better on Duracell batteries, but there really is no difference between the expensive duracell batteries and another brand. We wasted a lot of money on this!
